To a lot of us, music is our saving grace. It keeps our heads up on the rough days, brings them even higher on the blissful days, and of course has a little bit of everything for the emotions in between. Indulging in our heavy rotation with our speakers, car radio or headphones to get us through the day-to-day nonsense that comes with this life surely does the job. But what’s better than listening to our favorites through those objects? Hearing it live.
This Thursday at Donatos basement, four epic alternative-indie, psychedelic rock up and coming bands will be jamming out with us for a night of love, music and togetherness. Weird Music is proud to present Fullsend, The Borders, Kosmic Turtle and The Magnavox’s.
Headlining the show is Fullsend, which is made up of Ohio State students Rami Wadih, Jack Loth, Austin Harsh and Alex Robinson. Their sound has been described as ambient, atmospheric rock. We can’t wait to throw caution to the wind with them on Thursday, jamming out to their EP titled “Monkey Funks” and more. Their EP here: https://soundcloud.com/fullsendband.
Featured bands including The Borders, Kosmic Turtle and The Magnavox’s are also local to Ohio. While Kosmic Turtle and The Magnavox’s each carry their own unique, psychedelic rock sound, The Borders will be bringing a sense of hip-hop to the evening. Supporting local, up and coming bands is what we do best here at Weird Music, and we truly couldn’t be more excited to create new memories with all of you. I mean, that’s what it’s all about, right?
You know that feeling where you hear a song and it instantly takes you back to a specific moment in time? Sometimes it’s sad, and others are a sweet memory you could hold on to forever. Whether or not it’s perfect, (I think we both know a lot of life isn’t) a memory is a memory. And that’s exactly what we want you to experience this Thursday. A memory to hold on to forever.
Let’s make some memories. Let’s get weird. Get tickets and more details here! https://www.facebook.com/events/665666507160575/
