What started in 2014 by college friends Teddy Scott (guitar) and Paul Gregg (lead vocals/guitar) as an extracurricular side project, has progressed into what is known today as Bencoolen, a “maximalist” 5-piece powerhouse rock n’ roll band hailing out of Washington, D.C. On March 8th, 2019, Bencoolen will release their debut full-length record, Daydream and pre-order is officially happening now.

Filling out the rest of the 5-piece ensemble comes Ben Suarez (bass), Jack Bentsen (saxophone) andWill “Willy Pipes” Lockery (drums/backup vocals). Daydream was captured in a cabin tucked away in the lush hills of West Virginia. and was fondly made possible by the generosity of Dragon’s Lair Studiosand producer Addison Smith’s touch behind the controls.

Recently, Relix Magazine shared the studio video for lead single “Remember,”  commenting “[the single] showcases how their live energy can translate to the studio,” and singles “Roll On” and“Remember” are out everywhere digitally today.

Bencoolen’s sound has dazzled crowds, and their determination continues to bring them to new venues. To date, they have supported tours for Mihali of Twiddle, Marcus KingSpaffordMungion, Atlas Road CrewMondo Cozmo, and Big Something, to name a few. They also have landed major festival slots atFirefly Music Festival in 2017 and at Musikfest in 2018.
